David has been a principal with the firm since 1994. In addition to his extensive experience in small business accounting and management, he currently controls and manages our insolvency practice. David provides advice and assistance for personal and corporate bankruptcies, proposals, reorganizations and receiverships. David is widely respected in his specialty, and works with his clients to develop optimal solutions; ranging from acting as a receiver manager, ensuring that a lender maximizes a recovery, to efficiently administering business reorganizations and work outs which include turnaround arrangements to restructure secured and unsecured debt.

 

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant in New Zealand in 1976
  • Articled with A & J Grierson Goodale & Gibson in New Zealand
  • Licensed as a Trustee in Bankruptcy in 1997
  • Member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CIRP)

  • Member of Hayes McNeill & Partners Ltd. (Trustee in Bankruptcy) since 1982
  • Principal of Hayes Stewart Little & Co in Duncan 1994 - Present
  • Member in public practice since 1979
  • Director of British Columbia Insolvency Practitioners Association 1999, 2000
  • Member of Insolvency International since 1997
  • Experience in auditing small to medium sized corporations in South Africa (1977) Great Britain (1978) and Canada (1979 - 1985)
  • Member – Turnaround Management Association – 2002
